June 9. 2002 - On her first out, Wildwood Harmony surprised us by winning the Reining Alberta Sire & Dam Maturity at Reining Alberta's show June 8-9 at the Blacklands Ranch north of Edmonton. The pretty sorrel mare was not shown as a 3 year old, but you wouldn't know it by the easy way she accepted everything her first time in the reining pen. She was relaxed, quiet and didn't look for anything to do besides the job at hand.
Harmony is sired by Peeping Bo Badger out of Wildwood Tamarac, who is subscribed to the program. Because Tamarac is subscribed, her offspring are eligible to compete in the Sire & Dam division of the Maturity. In 2001, Wildwood Whisper split second in the same class.
Tamarac received a plaque in recognition of producing a top placing horse in the Sire & Dam Maturity, which we proudly display beside the plaque she won in 2001 for Whisper's performance.
In 2003, Wildwood Soul O Silk, another Tamarac baby, will be trying to uphold the tradition, for she is also eligible to compete in the Reining Alberta Sire & Dam Maturity.
